M=BUS is a data acquisition system that uses various data loggers and ignition modules to record data from connected sensors and ignite e. g. airbags. Thanks to the special modular design, an almost unlimited number of channels can be combined. The M=BUS system can be adapted to all test scenarios and guarantees reliable and standard-compliant data acquisition. Since this environment poses many very different challenges, M=BUS is divided into three device categories: M=BUS Pro, M=BUS InDummy and M=BUS LAB.
All M=BUS system components are compatible with each other and can be operated together in one bus line.

M=BUS InDummy meets the special requirements for heat input and distribution, installation space and mass distribution that apply to sensors and measurement technology installed in dummies. Not only dummies, but also smaller specimens such as children’s dummies, lower leg or head specimens can be instrumented.

M=BUS Pro includes analog and digital loggers, ignition modules, gateways and other accessories that have been specially developed for use “onboard”, i.e. within crash vehicles or sled super structures. The components are crash-resistant and compact and can be mounted at different positions in order to save space.
The M=BUS LAB series completes the data acquisition system of MESSRING with a flexibly configurable offboard variant for use in test laboratories. Housings with 11 or 19 inch width can accommodate a freely configurable combination of data acquisition and ignition modules.
