In the area of driver assistance, for example, the following modern technologies can help prevent accidents: Brake boosting and emergency brake systems, electro-mechanical parking brake, power steering, tire pressure assistant, rear view camera, ultrasonic parking sensor, head-up display or turn-off assistant. Other examples of active safety include ESP (electronic stability program), brake assist or intelligent lighting systems in cars.
