Moving Barrier

A moving barrier is a four-wheeled chassis with a front shield that is used for crash tests with a stationary test vehicle. The moving barrier is connected to the towing cable of the crash facility and accelerated. After uncoupling, the front of the moving barrier hits the stationary test vehicle. There are moving barriers for performing side and rear impact tests and occupant protection tests.
