Press Release: MESSRING supports ISO compliant calibration according to DakkS standard

DAkkS accredited calibration for all M=BUS Pro and M=BUS Lab analog and digital modules / The new company facilities enable ISO 17025-compliant in-house calibration

Reliable measuring and testing equipment is an essential basis for engineers and vehicle developers. An important part of ensuring accurate measurement results is the periodic calibration of the devices under test. MESSRING now offers a calibration service for M=BUS Pro and M=BUS Lab analog and digital modules that meets all requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. A state-of-the-art calibration laboratory was installed during the construction and move into the new company building. With the new laboratory, the measurement technology experts can now offer this service in accordance with DAkkS standards as an in-house service.

The accredited calibration is valid as proof of traceability and compliance with the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard for quality assurance in the automotive industry. Furthermore, MESSRING can achieve a significantly reduced turnaround time due to the work steps carried out in its own laboratory. In addition to the DAkkS certificate, all modules receive a detailed device test. Because only reliable devices guarantee precise test results and evaluations for the development and production of safer vehicles.

In addition to static and dynamic calibration with voltage measurement and filter characteristics, testing the sensor supply voltage is just as much a part of MESSRING calibration as testing the internal functionality of the modules such as flash memory, current measurement, circuit supplementary resistors and shunt. Battery replacement as well as firmware and hardware updates are also part of the service scope.

Matthias Winkler, Head of Software and Hardware at MESSRING speaking about the calibration: “The ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation of our well-proven calibration process for full testing according to the manufacturer’s specifications confirms the past, present and future high quality of our procedures.”
