MESSRING, a global leader in crash test technology, was chosen as the supplier of choice for the development and implementation of the facility’s advanced testing systems. This partnership has enabled CMCI to offer a comprehensive range of precise, high-quality crash test services that meet international standards.

China Machinery Certification & Inspection Co., Ltd. (CMCI), established in 2003 and headquartered in Beijing, has become a premier provider of integrated product certification, system certification, and testing services. Operating under the China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., CMCI delivers customized technical consulting and one-stop services to enterprises, covering everything from testing and inspection to intelligent upgrades and management improvement.

The crash test facility, which spans 280 meters, includes two primary test areas and multiple foundations designed to support a variety of crash scenarios. With a combination of fixed and movable blocks, the facility can handle vehicles up to 25 tons and execute complex Car-to-Car (C2C) tests. The C2C tests allow for vehicles of 3.5 tons to impact at 70 km/h, with adjustable offsets, simulating a wide range of real-world conditions.

The facility also features two strategically located film pits, designed for high-resolution data capture during crash events. The pits, covered with durable transparent slabs, ensure long-term structural integrity while allowing comprehensive filming of each test.

For impact testing, the facility guarantees pinpoint accuracy, with deviations as small as ±10mm for frontal, side, and rear crash tests, and ±25mm for C2C tests. This level of precision ensures reliable and repeatable results, supporting both research and regulatory compliance.
