The project further deepens the long-standing collaboration between MESSRING and CMVR, formerly known as CVTRI, which already operates a MESSRING installation. The new facility represents a significant enhancement of CMVR’s testing infrastructure, enabling a broad spectrum of vehicle safety tests in line with international standards.

The installation features a total track length of 238 meters, comprising 135 meters of double rail and 103 meters of single rail. This configuration allows for a wide range of test setups with high precision and repeatability. Two film pits have been integrated into the layout: one dedicated to car-to-car crash scenarios and a second located at the end of the track in combination with a fixed crash block, enabling detailed analysis of barrier impacts.

The facility is designed to support comprehensive testing requirements, covering numerous global regulatory and consumer test protocols such as GB, ECE, FMVSS, IIHS, C-NCAP and Euro NCAP. Its flexible infrastructure enables the execution of frontal, side and rear impacts, as well as complex crash configurations and specialized testing for passenger and commercial vehicles.

In addition to the core crash track, the installation includes an integrated test area equipped for Hydrobrake systems and guardrail testing, further extending the range of achievable test scenarios within the facility. The entire system has also been engineered with future requirements in mind and can be upgraded with an additional propulsion motor, ensuring scalability for evolving testing demands.

With this project, we are continuing our successful partnership with CMVR and supporting the ongoing development of advanced vehicle safety testing in China. The facility combines precision, flexibility and future readiness, enabling CMVR to meet both current and upcoming testing requirements across a wide range of vehicle categories.
