To an increasing extent, modern passive and active vehicle safety systems are triggered via vehicle bus systems (CAN-Bus, LIN-Bus). To test and trigger these systems in vehicle crash or sled facilities, a crash-proof bus interface is required.
This bus interface serves two primary purposes:
- Synchronous recording of CAN messages
- Triggered transmission of CAN messages for simple simulation of vehicle control units (ECUs).
The NA33 CAN-Bus Logger serves both purposes through a flexible hardware solution. The NA33 plug-in card can both record and transmit CAN messages, and can do so on two separate CAN channels. In addition, the system is equipped with digital input and output channels, to enable it to send messages in synch with external events. All events that are initiated or measured by the card can be stored, and then displayed chronologically in text form by the software.
The NA33 CAN-Bus Logger has the following features:
- NA33 plug-in card
- Two independent CAN channels
- CAN 2.0A- and CAN2.0B-compatible
- ISO 11898 compatible
- CAN messages are recorded with a timestamp
- Timestamps are synchronous with NA33 analog data recording
- 8 MB message memory
- Log files compatible with Vector Informatik CANalyzer
- Digital I/O for triggered transmission of CAN messages
- Cyclic transmission of messages
- Integrated in CrashSoft 3
