The M=BUS PRO CAN Logger and Simulator provides CAN BUS measurement and control functionality to the M=BUS PRO Onboard DAS family. This device combines two independent high speed CAN channels, two LIN channels and several digital In- and Outputs in one device. Up to 7.700 CAN messages per second and per channel can be recorded into an 8MByte deep internal memory.
The M=BUS Pro CAN Logger and Simulator can also be used as a bus master. This feature enables the simulation of CAN bus members (e.g. ECUs). Up to 32 Message Blocks can be individually defined and executed.
Four digital Inputs and four digital outputs can be used to trigger a message transmission or to start a logging session. Both recording and transmission of CAN data is synchronized with the sample clock of the M=BUS PRO DAS family.
A simple mounting rail can be used to place the devices of the M=BUS DAS family side by side on a central position e.g. in the trunk of a car. The CAN Logger and Simulator can also be operated independently and can be placed decentralized inside a test object.
For the highest level of data security the CAN Logger and Simulator is equipped with a backup system that is activated automatically in case of cable break. This feature provides also the option to perform tests in stand-alone configuration of the test object without power supply.
